ARYA is an Italian-Venezuelan singer, songwriter and producer whose music blends contemporary R&B, neo-soul and alternative pop. Emerging as one of the most distinctive voices of the new Italian soul scene, she has built a reputation both as a solo artist and as a sought-after collaborator, working with artists such as Mahmood, Venerus, Ghemon and Calibro 35, while also contributing vocals to Lazza’s hit Cenere, produced by Dardust.
Born into a musical family, ARYA’s artistic identity is deeply connected to her Venezuelan heritage. She is the daughter of acclaimed salsa singer Orlando Watussi, a prominent figure in the Venezuelan salsa scene whose career spans more than four decades across Venezuela, Puerto Rico, New York and Europe. Growing up between different cultures and musical traditions, ARYA developed a personal language where soul, R&B, Latin influences and contemporary songwriting naturally coexist.
Her live activity has already brought her to international showcase festivals including SXSW in Austin and BreakOut West in Calgary. In 2024, she joined Mahmood’s European tour as both backing vocalist and opening act, performing across Italy and Europe, including a sold-out show at Fabrique in Milan.
Following the release of her acclaimed EPs Peace Of Mind (2021) and Punto Zero (2023), ARYA returns in 2026 with PRONTO, her debut album – an intimate and layered work that places vulnerability at its core, further confirming her as one of the most distinctive and self-aware voices in the new Italian soul landscape.
